My daughter now is 8yrs old and recently cultured MRSA in her sputum.Can anyone tell me what happens culturing this.The CF Clinic wasnt to concerned.She has never had a hospital stay for any cleanouts or anything.She has had tubes put in ears,they never fell out so after 3.5 yrs they had to go in and remove them.Year later had her tonsils and adnoids out.Thank You.

As far as I understand it, everyone with CF cultures MRSA and PA eventually. It's not really that big of a deal. I have it. I'm 33. It hasn't given me too much trouble. Still have a lung function over 100 %. I'm sure my lungs would do better without it, but overall I've been fine. There is a huge stigma with MRSA and CF but for me myself and others we just roll with it.

I have MRSA. its only a problem when you are around other chronically I'll people. just make sure to take the antibiotics your doctors give you.
