It's MTV's 25th birthday today. Happy birthday! I dyed my hair red(bright) in commemoration! (Not--see my blog about bad hair!)

Mine first was an old Monkees album that actually belonged to my sis as well as a Tommy Roe one......OH SWEET PEA, WONT YA BE MY GIIIIRL! I went to a dance just the other night. I saw a girl there. She was out of sight. I asked a friend of mine who she could be. He said that her friends just call her SWEET PEA~!

My wife told me that the Buggles song was the first to air MTV, but I think the longest playing was "Oh, Mickey", from Toni Basil! (More useless info...The keyboardest is now one of the members to 'Asia', and the singer went to make the group 'Yes'.)
However, MTV seemed to be the perfect tool to expose the "New Wave Music" for the likes of Boy George, Duran Duran, Adam Ant, etc.!
