Muscle Milk

My nieces new husband recommended I try Muscle Milk by GNC. Its a protein shake for bulking up versus the shakes I use. He says it doesnt taste bad etc.

The last GNC product I bought was a fortune & only came in huge containers. Tons of calories, but the recommended mixture was like drinking mud. Never finished it.

Havent checked it out yet, but was wondering if anyone has heard of it or has experience with it.

Almost sounds too good to be true LOL!

Melissa,

I have heard of Muscle Milk, but I was under the impression that it was more geared toward bodybuilding. My husband lifts weights 4 days a week.

Just 2 days ago, he bought 100% Whey Protein by On. He bought it for himself and me. Whey protein is the purest form of protein and benefits the body the most. I will be starting to take it once a day to put on a few of the pounds that I lost since moving. It is an overall protein powder. My hubby then takes 2 other powder drinks since he lifts. Whey protein is also a great filler. You won't be hunger for awhile.

It costs $39.99 for a 5lb jug. It should last 2-3 months. Also, there are quite a few different favors. Everything from your basic Vanilla, Chocolate, Strawberry to Choc. Chip Mint, Dusty Road, and so many others. I think there are about 20 different flavors. Jake says it is the best tasting one he has ever used.

There website is www.optimumnutrition.com.

On a side note, if you decide to go with Muscle Milk, DON'T get it from GNC. You will be paying about $10 - $15 more. We get ours from Vitamin Shoppe. Be sure to check out prices!!! (((HUGS)))

yes i've heard of it and i think there was a post about it a few weeks back.
it is geared towards body building, but for cfers that is actually what you want. body building shakes are weight gaining shakes-specifically muscle mass gaining. they can help build the muscles around your ribs, and where else your body needs it most. that shake is also geared for repairing tissue-scar tissue anyone? we all have it! i'd definitely try it if i were you. once i'm off these ivs making me nauseous i was considering starting this same product.
good luck and let me know if u try it how u like it.

There's also Cytogainer from GNC. It cost about $40 but it last you a long time. I workout 4-6 days a week. In combination from lifting weights and drinking the cytogainer, I've gained 23 pounds since June. Overall, my whole BMI has improved and I've leaned out. It tastes great too. I've tried some protein shakes that do taste like mud and you can't even drink them. BUT Cytogainer isn't at all thick and I love the chocolate malt flavor and the cookies n'cream. Give it a shot. I never thought I could ever weigh this much nor lift as much weight as I do. I'm not saying it's all from the Cytogainer. Lord knows I bust my butt at the gym, but it's a plus.
