hello ,i guess im out of date , because last thing i heard it was a no no for cf ladies to have babies..... and you guys mention mutant genes and i have no clue what that means .... and some one please catch me up to date on everything? thank you ~*~* a crazy red head ~*~*

I am clueless too. I have no idea what mutant genes means. It's amazing how I have known I had CF since as long as I can remember but yet there is still alot of things I'm not quite sure about.

When you were in your mother's womb, you started out as a single cell. That cell contained two genes, one from your mother and one from your father. Having a child with CF in the genes is a serious decision. We went through genetic counseling and weighted the pros and cons and likelihood very seriously. Yes, my son is a carrier but does not have CF.
