I second the Zofran suggestion! It really helps with the nausea. I'm not sure about the jaw ache though... I've never encountered that. You should def run it by your doc, though...

zofran here too.... i've also taken phenergan, but usually knocks me out a lot more than zofran.

i think loosing weight cause on meds to make us better is a HUGE deal. we work so hard to put the weight on and then to loose like that is pretty traumatizing. and sometimes you never get that weight back on. so, i sympathize with your concern and applaud you for wanting to try to keep this slope from happening.

my doc recently told me they've done correlative studies that those with 22% or above body mass index (for women anyway) have better lung health in general. i'm way below that, but working on it. i would be really depressed if i was on meds for an infection and lost any of that precious weight. so, you're not alone.

congrats on culinary school!!! which one?? i actually got accepted recently as well, but with all that's going on, i decided to put off my admission. mine is just a "certificate program" for 30 weeks. not an actual degree. i'm interested to know what your program will be like.... i'm so excited for you! PM me (or just respond here)! and, once you start, hope you can share some tips and recipes with us! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0">

p.s. with regard to the jaw ache, i have no idea if this is it, but i have TMJ and when i'm stressed or sick or whatever, i tend to clench my jaw awake and/or asleep. so, is it possible you're just stressing over feeling so crappy and are clenching your jaw, adding to the headache? i don't know what meds you're on or how they interact so ask your doc, but my TMJ doc tells me aleve is best for this sort of pain and it usually works for me.

good luck!
