My christmas stocking gifts - funny..!

Hello,

I had to share this since it is sweet. I know these gifts for anyone else I know would go down as the worse gifts a husband could give his wife on christmas! But I loved them!!! I got a shower liner that is (so it says) guarenteed to not grow mold/bacteria/mildew etc... and a toothbrush for my 16 month old Bennett that "zaps" the bacteria off of it ever night. I still have not brushed his teeth b/c I am afraid of the toothbrush thing. I wipe his mouth down everyday with a facecloth.

My husband knows me as a bit crazy about the whole germ issue (walking around the x-mas party last night greeting people with the purell pump and replacing the nice christmas towels in my mother's bathroom with a roll of papertowels) but he did put alot of thought into the mold resistant shower curtain and the toothbrush for Bennett. I can't wait to tell me friends what was in my stocking to see the looks on their faces!

Happy Holidays! Paula

In his own way he DID put a lot of thought into what to get you.... Only another cf'er would realize that......

whats a shower liner? is that the same as a shower curtain? id love a shower curtain that never grew mold.

If you have 2 curtains hanging in the shower, one is usually water proof and stays in the tub (the liner) and the other is cloth that is the "pretty" part that stays out of the tub. I gave my kids the one that is guaranteed never to mold. We shall see...

Pretty much anything that limits cleaning & helps with overall health is a great stocking stuffer to me. We look forward to little things like tons of chapstick (i prefer blistex in mine), gum & new toothbrushes. It is amazing the little things that we can usually get for ourselves, but dont & appreciate them in the stocking! LOL...ho ho ho

It is so true.. things that other ppl would hate to get in their stocking, we love to get.. I also got chapstick.. I prefer Vaseline... I got really soft tissues..all wrapped up and everything..I got..five tooth brushes.. (I change my toothbrush.. every week and boil mine every two days...) I also got overall 7 bttls of hand sanitizer.. I am always using it....I got a new pill holder to try to organize the million bttls of pills at me bedside.. (Actually it is a baby food jar holder.. but it looks like it would work great) plus other things.. I also got the most beautiful and sentimental peices of jewlery, which is exactly what I wanted...

I feel sad in one way that I need all these medical things.. but at least I got them.. and I appreciate it...amd besides nothing beats a soft tissue and moist lips when you feel like crap....

Hope everyones Christmas was as magical as mine was.. I savored every single moment of the day.... I never wanted it to end... I know what it is like to be lonely on Chirstmas.. so that is why I am really able to appreciate.. my family now.......

Love,

Jennifer

Speaking of gifts I loved everyone else would hate, I got a bunch of pens last night. They are the really nice pilot precise pens, great for correcting. Only I could appreciate that! lol. I was so excited, since they were exactly what I asked for. Simple minds, simple pleasures

See now among the obvious kickass gift that I got a HUGE kick out of (my mom paid for all of us - her, my dad, my sister, my cousin and her boyfriend, my aunt, me and Mike - to go on a cruise to the Bahamas for a week in July and the kids get to swim with dolphins... no kidding)... I also really really liked all the dorky stuff I got. Lots of practical gifts. New stuff to match my room. New green pillows, green bedspread, beiege sheets with green leaves, new green towels, and a new green bathmat. Hehehehe. Sorry, I must admit, I also had to brag that my mom got us all a cruise. LOL couldn't help myself.

Haha, I've been thinking that one of my Chanukah presents would seem like the most loser-ish gift ever to anyone else, but I'm so excited about it! I've been having a lot of problems with my throat being really irritated lately (my doctor says it's croup, fun fun!) and have been very dependent on using a vaporizer or humidifier to keep things even moderately tolerable -- but I HATE having to change the water and disinfect it and blah blah blah... So my mom got me this cool new low maintenance humidifer that has special filters and is antibacterial and REALLY easy to refill! I love my boring present, haha!!
