Glad you're having some good results w/ the alternative stuff. I never discount alternative treatments because all too often people DO see results from them. Just like w/ me and the Vitex. I ALWAYS ovulated around day 21/22 and 2 months into taking Vitex I ovulated on day 15 - the earliest I have EVER ovulated (not counting my early teen years before I went on the pill at age 17.) I have no doubt that had I not gotten pregnant that cycle and had I continued the vitex I would have seen similar results in the following months.

I do alternative stuff that doesn't have to do w/ TTC and babies as well and see good results so I love to see someone doing something "non medical" and having a good response.

im just so impressed with my blood results. im even more impressed that i saw results the same day!

I have taken natural meds before- such as ginko and ginseng. but i learnt VERY quickly I cant take ginseng after 12 pm. I wont sleep that night if I do.

I also took st. johns wort for pms depression but i dont remember if it worked or not.

Id rather try natural meds, than 'regular' medicine. I dont trust 'regular' medicines so much. I feel that they just add more problems, and then eventually you have to keep adding more and more to your schedule.
Of course, this doesnt mean that I dont take my CF meds, I just wish there was some other form I could take that wasnt chemicals.

I have a pms blend in my cupboard- it has the chasteberry/vitex in it. I was waiting for my period to start before i tried taking it, but I dont know if im going to or not. can you take it all cycle long or is it one of those you quit after ovulation?

Vitex is something that has to build up in your system. Everything I read on it says it can take around 3 months to see results (I saw results in 2). So you need to take it through your whole cycle, every day. There are some people out there that take it up to ovulation and then stop but it doesn't seem that a strategy like that would be very effective since it isn't in line w/ everything I read.

I bought it in pill form (I think Nature's way?) and took lots of it. I stopped it when I found out I was pg. Some people believe in taking it up through the 1st trimester but I'm always happy to get rid of a pill LOL.

see-- thats why im confused!
i read also you need to take it for months at a time 2-6 months.
and then if you stop it at ovulation, when you start taking it again wouldnt you be just starting at 'day 1' again (day 1 of the build up of the pill)...

I DO know you cant take clomid and vitex, because clomid makes your hormones (or something...) raise and vitex would just be trying to balance it out.

but.. im not on clomid so no worries there.
