Pulmozyme and Tobi are now considered a "Specialty Drug", and they have 50% copay! up to $5000 a year! (at least there is that cap!)

Please pray that we qualify for some help... I have the numbers for the Genetech Endowment and the Tobi Access Hotline. We qualified for the Genentech one years ago, but that was with a much smaller paycheck and we had a 20% copay...and I was only on it once a day, not twice...still freaking a little bit...it's gonna be better tomorrow after I talk to the patient programs, right?

Do you think I should call my social worker to help (or call on my behalf) the endowment/Tobi access people first?

My insurance coverage has changed-

Wow, take a deep breath...I would definitely call your social workers and see what he/she recommends--that is a very good place to start.

There isn't anything that you can do about it tonight, so try not to worry too much (which I know is easier said than done). Tomorrow you can start making calls and see if there is anything you can do for help in this regard. Is there any way to appeal the determination directly to the insurance company?

I wish I had an answer for you...

Hang in there, it will work out!

Thanks, that's what my dh said, too (in response to me saying I had a stress headache). It's going away now .

I am hoping that my social worker will know about the appeal, since I have no clue. Things have not been too terribly sunnyside up lately- I guess I got spoiled with all the smooth sailing!

Oh well, there is a reason for everything...I will just have to trust and be patient...not my forte'- lol. I wish I would hurry up (hehe) and get the hang of it- all this lesson stuff is hard!
