My Lady Macbeth Hands

I think I am developing some kind of Shakespeare-esque handwashing obsession. It's winter here and swine flu is all over the hospitals (where I work) - I have been washing my hands after I touch just about anything!
They're all red and cracked, but it's better than getting the flu

AJ

PS this was a pointless post, though I have to say that really hope there is a vaccine available for H1N1 before it makes it up to everyone in the nthrn hemisphere

I think it's normal to be a little paranoid about the swine flu, especially when you work at a hospital. Please be careful and protect yourself as much as possible.

I agree. Especially since you have the possibility of being exposed to more infectious agents since you work in a hospital, (as I do). Make sure though, that you moisturize your hands too. When your hands are dry and cracked, especially if there are open, cracked areas, it makes it that much easier for the bacteria to hide!

I think they started trialing HIN1 vaccines in Australia yesterday - so as long as they don't all kick the bucket, i'm sure it will be available far and wide very very soon - some pharma company somewhere will be rubbing it's filthy little hands together in glee!! Grrr.

As for the hands, try Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Hand Cream - it's greasy(ish) but works better than anything else i've tried on severely dry hands. The fisherman in Norway used to use it to keep their hands soft.
