It's from the periodic table of elements. I took it right off of there, so the numbers are from that. The 11 and 17 in the corners are the atomic numbers, and the longer numbers on the bottom are the atomic weight/mass.

Because Em is obsessed with salt. She carries a salt shaker in her purse LOL. And, salt has so much to do with CF I think its a creative way to sort of reflect your having CF in body art (as opposed to like, that really cool lung tattoo someone on here posts about periodically).
