My peditrician says it's not reflux because my daughter doesn't seem to be in pain?

absolutley agree with above post.....address reflux issue with cf clinic or gi specialist. my daughter had severe reflux as a baby and eventually had to have a nissan fundilopication procedure to stop it. she didnt seem in obvious "pain"...she would vomit often, but didnt cry in pain. cf and reflux in infants often go hand in hand. definatley consult your cf clinic with your concerns.

My son is on the opposite end of that one. He has had pain since he was about 3 days old, but rarely spits up. He is one now. If he misses a dose of his Zantac, we can see a huge difference. We thought he had colic as a baby due to the reflux.

Thanks everyone sure is a relief to know that I'm not crazy I had never ever had anyone talk about a baby being in visable pain because of reflux, sure it is probably possible but not the case for every baby. She spits up what makes for a good puddle frq after a feeding...even if she has burped without spitting up.. Ugh drives me crazy..I've stopped changing her outfit over it because I would have to do three loads of just her clothes a day..well that might be an exaggeration but you get the idea...and it smells like vomit>>>YUCK!! Thanks again MLAG

I agree...my daughter, now 1, has had reflux since birth and has never been in noticeable pain from it. She is on Prevacid and Zantac, so hers is pretty bad...she has also not had much problems w/ spitting up though.

I agree...I don't deal with the peds usually when it is CF related. Go to the clinic.
