Hi,
Hope you all have been well I haven't posted in a while, school and
practicum have started for me and it keeps me running. O yea,
and my main computer is still in the shop. Since my last post : I
took Josh in for a full mutation panel about 2 weeks ago, and his
allergist said he doesn't have ABPA (more confusion on the part of
the doctors). He orders some blood work which we will do the end of
this month and I'm sure everything will sort itself out.

Tuesday Joshua had a nasal potential differential at Hopkins it was
actually free as they are in the middle of a research study. She
also did a sweat chloride on both arms that is designed
specifically for carriers of CF (New to me, never heard of it). The
technician had trouble with his right nostril, kept hitting a block
and actually had to repeat the test on that side. When she
came out she asked me if I knew he had a polyp and I explained he
had surgery in May. Her response was it may be scar tissue but it
was definitely something. I will get result of the testing
some time next week, Tuesday or Wednesday. She told me to call the
doctor next week and I replied that she'll call me if the results
are positive. To which the technician said call her because you
will need to talk to her. That brought me to attention. So that's
what's up and will keep you guys posted. Thanks for being here or
there or where ever.
I'll keep my fingers crossed for the test results. I am curious about the sweat chloride for carriers you mentioned. In what way was it different from the regular test? I am wondering if this is related to lines of research that could be relevant to cases like my girls (heterozygous, but dx with mild cf).
