Nasal polyps and tonsils surgery

My 4 year old daughter is going to have Polyps and tonsils surgery tomorrow. Any advice or suggestions on how to help her recovery.

Back in June when we took her to the ENT after 4 tonsil infections, he told us that she had a few polyps and that the tonsils needed to be removed because they are very big. I don't think the polyps are a big issue because she has been breathing well but he still wants to remove them. Should I let him do the polyps too.
Thanks

I had this exact surgery done when I was 13. (Mine also included nasal passageway reconstruction too...big ow I had polyps as well, and I remember that it made a huge difference in how I was able to sleep. Mine weren't very big, but our ENT at the time, told me that they could grow. So, my mom just decided to have everything taken care of in one surgery, instead of risking another surgery, and more trauma to my body.

Anyways, the one thing that sticks out still to this day in my mind, and helped me recover, is my mom getting me a rainbow jello mold. Seriously She found one at our local supermarket (most carry em) I laugh about it, but it was awesome to know that, that whole thing was mine

I also got my very own notebook, and pen to write with, since I couldn't talk afterward. (IDK how things are done these days, but back then, I couldn't talk for 4 days because of the swelling and the less I talked, the quicker I healed.) I doubt she's at the point where she can write out conversations...but it may be fun to get a cool coloring book, and new crayons!

Other then that, I just loved being babied! I hope this helps, and good luck with the surgery!! Let us know how everything goes!
