My cf doctors have me do saline and gentamicin. It doesn't burn at all and seems to help, but doesn't eliminate my sinus problems.

i have heard of antibiotics in sinus rinses but haven't had my daughter wcf try them. What has worked WONDERS for my daughter is adding Grapefruit Seed Extract (GSE) and Xylitol to her saline rinse. She gets terrible sinus infections and has never been able to get rid of them without abx and/or sugery until we started using GSE & Xylitol. I mix a gallon of water with 8-10 tsp Xlitol and 32-48 drops of GSE and she does the rinses twice a day. I use the smaller numbers on a regular basis and increase to the larger numbers if her sinuses get congested during a cold. She also does Pulmozyme with a mask and that really helps thin the mucus. After months and months and months of antibiotics for sinus infections, she hasn't had an infection since we started using this mixture last October.

I go once a month for a tobrimicyn irrigation, my doctor puts a syringe type thing up into my sinus, and it runs down all around. It stopped me from having sinus fess's every year, and helped me not to get sick as much
