HELLO TO EVERYONE
THIS IS MY FIRST POST ALTHOUGH I HAVE BEEN READING ABOUT EVERYONE FOR A FEW MONTHS. YOU ARE ALL SO HELPFUL AND CARING AND I FEEL LIKE I ALREADY KNOW ALOT OF YOU.

BACK TO MY TOPIC, I HAVE A SINUS INFECTION AND MY DR PRESCRIBED TOBI. I HAVE TO TAKE 8 CC OF SALINE FROM A PREFILLED SYRINGE AND MIX IT W/ 2 CC OF TOBI. THEN SQUIRT 5 CC IN EACH NOSTRIL. I'M NOT EXPECTING IT ALL TO STAY UP THERE BUT IT SEEMS LIKE MOST OF IT DRAINS BACK OUT OR BACK MY THROAT. I TILT MY HEAD HOPING IT WILL GO IN MY SINUSES BUT STILL FEELS LIKE I'M WASTING ALOT. SO CHECKING TO SEE IF ANYONE ELSE HAS DONE THIS AND WHAT THEIR EXPERIENCE WAS.

Hey Becca-
Welcome! My ENT has been doing this with me for years and it totally helps me. Within 7-10 days, my sinuses are always in tip-top shape. It seems like it all flushes out, but the repeated contact with the bacteria starts killing it very quickly.

My doc has me flush my nose with a saline flush first to get all the debris out of the sinus. I then mix about 4 ounces of saline with tobi and then flush my sinuses again.

I really do well with the sinus treatment.

That worked very well for me. Yes, I thought I was wasting a lot too, but it worked. Keep with it for your sinus infection. It will work!<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

Ohhh, and don't tilit your head back too much. You don't want to swallow that stuff. Yuck! It's not too good to swallow the Tobi with the sinus drainage. It will kill your gut! I learned that the hard way in the hospital!!!<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0">
