nausea

I started Cayston Monday night, and late that night/early the next morning was REALLY nauseous...I ended up having to take off work and come home I felt so bad.

Is this a side effect of Cayston? My doc told me to stop Cayston for a few days and see if it clears up in case it is related. I feel better today, but feel nauseous a few minutes after I eat anything...so naturally I now have no appetite.

Not sure if it's Cayston...a virus...or maybe pancreatic issues (I'm currently pancreatic sufficient, but from what I understand, that can change?). Anyone have any suggestions, or any meds you take for nausea? In the past whenever I take peptobismol it makes me throw up, so I try to avoid it

Been on Cayston for 3 months and have not had that side effect. Sometimes the heat of the day makes me feel nauseous.

Good luck

I have been on and off Cayston since the trial days. And it has never made me nauseous. I think because it is inhaled directly into your lungs, that should not be a side effect.

I mean I am no doctor, so I dont know for sure, but I would wait a few days and see how you feel. Have you started any other new meds lately? Bactrim, Levaquin etc. give me BAD nausea. I was in the same boat a few weeks ago and didnt eat for three days I think, levaquin was the culprit.

Hope you are better soon!

Caitlin - you and I think alike!! haha. I was telling my coworker "I really don't think it would even make sense for it to be a side effect since it's inhaled and just goes into the lungs"...unless I'm allergic to it or something, who knows.

Cayston is the only change in meds I've had within the past months/maybe even a year. I have had negative reactions to levaquin in the past also, and will never be on that one again! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

thanks for your responses.
