I think the last few weeks are difficult for just about every pregnant woman, CF or no CF. You're getting huge, its hard to sleep, harder to breathe, harder to eat, etc.
I agree w/ Nicole - take it easy as much as possible. Let the housework go and ask others (especially your DH) to step in. I can't remember if you work or not but maybe now is the time to take some time off? Pamper yourself - get a massage.
Can you describe what exactly is getting uncomfortable? For me, one of my biggest problems was pain in my pelvis. My chiropractor was my lifesaver, especially at the end when I was seeing him twice a week. If you are experiencing any kind of back or pelvic pain I suggest seeing a chiro asap.
A website you should start looking at now is called www.spinningbabies.com It will help you achieve optimal fetal positioning for labor and delivery. Most people think you just want a baby to be head down - but that is only part of the equation. I believe it also has some stretches and positions you can get into to help relieve some of the discomfort.
Sorry you're sick again and on IVs. I was on them once with my son (though could have used them twice) but so far I haven't been sick this pregnancy (knock on wood!). Can I ask why you're having an u/s every week? Just curious! Take care</end quote></div>
I actually just found that website, spinningbabies.com and will try some of the exercises soon because my baby is still in the breech position. I know i am 32 weeks pregnant and she still has time to turn but I want to know some techniques in advance!
My biggest pain/complain so far is just the drop of energy i've had all of a sudden, the shortness of breath and coughing until i am about to puke! I actually havent had any pelvic pain yet - just horrible rib pain on my left side everyday!
I'm having ultrasounds every other week right now because of my CF related diabetes, i suppose to make sure she isnt getting too big? She is measuring perfectly and my sugars are fine so i don't expect that to ever be a problem - but still, my high risk ob/gyn wants me to have them done every other week, and last week my amniotic fluid was measuring a little bit low so i was told to definitely drink more water and come back every other week until further notice..
Sleeping is also a hugeee problem.. as in, I don't! I can NOT sleep if my life depended on it, and being sick and tired with no sleep is not good.. i do nap during the day but its pretty hard to nap with my IV schedule.
I start lamaze classes this week so I am looking forward to that!
