Nebs in the car

I did it twice a day when I worked! I think it's totally safe as long as you fill the cups and have everything going before you take off or while you are stuck at a red light or something.

I do it regularly. You can buy power inverters fairly cheaply at an electronics store. That's what I used to use all the time. Recently I got a new portable compressor which comes with a power cord to use in the cigarette lighter. Either way, it works for me!

Again, great to hear! I use 2 or 3 separate cups/nebs for pulmozyme, albuterol and HTS, and Tobi when I'm 28 on, so I usually pre-fill them anyway before I start. I can't believe I didn't think to try this sooner.

That's funny! I do get a lot of odd looks. One time, I was riding with a friend and doing nebs while she drove. This guy in the car beside us was acting really weird, and finally I said to my friend, "Why does that guy keep looking at us like that?!" She couldn't stop laughing--I'm so used to doing nebs in the car, it never even occurred to me he would be trying to figure out what I was doing.

For a while I did nebs while driving my one hour commute to and from work. It was a great time saver, but I stopped because I really think it's quite dangerous to do it while driving:

1) It means I only have one hand on the wheel.
2) I had to open the window to prevent the cloud of meds around me, which meant I had to turn up the radio even louder ... i.e. I really couldn't hear anything going on around me.
3) Drivers nearby were so busy staring at me, that they definitely weren't watching where they were going.
4) When my phone rang I had to push the button on the handsfree to accept the call, and turn off the nebulizer so I could be heard. Obviously I wasn't very focused on the road while doing this.

In short, while it's tempting to save two hours a day by driving and nebbing at the same time ... I decided it's not worth getting into an accident.

Just my humble opinion ...

I have been DWN ing for 15 years or more... Driving while nebbing.

All you need is a Power Inverter. You can get then at most Auto Parts Stores
and even Wal Mart has them

For those of you who use a power inverter, what wattage should I buy if I want to use the vest in the car? It's the small Hill-Rom one.
