I started nebulized Colistimethate about a week ago. This is the most vile, disgusting stuff I have ever come across. It is unbearable for about the first minute and is difficult to inhale completely until it is nearly finished. Does anyone have any tips on making this vile concoction anywhere near tolerable?

I started nebulized Colistimethate about a week ago. This is the most vile, disgusting stuff I have ever come across. It is unbearable for about the first minute and is difficult to inhale completely until it is nearly finished. Does anyone have any tips on making this vile concoction anywhere near tolerable?

I hoard the noseplugs they give me when I get my PFTs so that I can wear them when I neb Colistin. Plugging my nose really helps me not only make sure I'm breathing only through my mouth, but since your sense of taste is dampened when your nose is plugged, it makes it bearable.
It takes practice to get used to it! Hang in there.
