Nebulizer for infant?

I believe some clinics feel that's just as appropriate to use. Basically you're trying to get the airways open. As for HTS, DS is 5 and he still isn't on it. He started pulmozyme when he was 2 1/2

our CF doc never mentioned nebs until my DD was almost a year old. Up until then the albuterol and flovent were doing the trick.

I don't see anything wrong with this approach. That's all my 2.5 year old uses. We started with nebulized albuterol, but she was impossible with it and so they let us go to the inhaler -- same thing, basically.

We started pulmozyme on my dd's 2 year visit, but we've stopped taking it for a little bit....she fights it like crazy and its a super expensive med drawing on her lifetime insurance cap, we don't see any difference, it was just preventative . . . so we are going to take a break for 6 months or a year and start it back up again then.

i am 23 years old now and baseline FEV1 of around 65%...i have been told that is a "mild" case of CF...My mother was always on top of the new treatments that came out and always on my but about doing my nebs. It is because of her that I am still breathing as deep as i am. My first hospitalization was when i was 18.

Basically i am just saying from my experiences that i think preventative treatments are very important...I wouldnt wait until problems arise.
