First of all sorry to hear about the news, but you have come to the right place for support. The thing you have to remember about CF is that it has come a long ways and those dx today are living long and fullfilling lives. CF won't define who your child will become. It sucks now, and believe me when our daughter was dx two and half years ago was the worst day of our lives. But as the days come and go you will quickly realize that your child is resilient.
I look at Avery 4 years old now and all that she has been through in life and wonder if I could have done this as a child. God gave these little ones something special that most other people don't have, they are compensated with their compassion and love for others. CF does not define Avery, it is just part of her life now and forever. Good luck, it gets easier.
