Just and update. We had the Quest deletions and duplications test done which came back normal for chromosome 7. THe NPD at Hopkins was also normal. So it is very unlikely that m son has CF. The dr there was still concerned with his high sweat chloride and put his name on a list for testing if they ever come up with another gene that causes CF. I am planning to push for more endocrine testing as his aldosterone levels were low and this can cause elevated sweat tests. The dr at Hopkins also thought that his lung inflammation and hemoptysis could be from Candida Albincans that was cultured in his lungs. He was on antibiotics for a few months prior to the hemoptysis.
