Jenn,
I read through your great strides page. It is helpful to read other people's letters to get new ideas. By the way, your children are precious!! I was wondering how you were able to link the Onetruemedia page from the CF website. I can't figure out how you did that.
Sharon, mom of Sophia, 6 and Jack, 4 both with cf

I have found that the letters that bring about the greatest response is really just newsy about what is going on. I am attaching a file with my letter for this year directing people to my GREAT STRIDES page. I will focus on the news and fun stuff and discuss how research and regular care has helped. Does everyone need to know about his feeding tube or lung function, NO. Does everyone need to know that medical and treatment advances have made his journey smoother YES. Good luck with it.

OK I am not attaching it because the system will not let me so I will cut and paste it below.

Greetings ya'll. Parker and I are racing to keep up with all the things that have this year racing already. Whether it is LSU winning the national title, playoffs, the Pinewood Derby, or Mardi Gras and the Super Bowl at the same time (the NFL really needs to look at better scheduling) but seriously we are tired. Parker is plugging away at 4th grade and is really enjoying his classes especially social studies. I am a little surprised when he brings up different political issues at times but he enjoys it. Parker is a Webelos in Cub Scouts which is quite a challenge as well. Last weekend we had the Pinewood Derby for our part of St. Mary Parish and Parker's car qualified for the district championships. This year for Mardi Gras Day we are both riding in the Krewe of Sucrose which will also be a lot of fun. Parker is also looking for times and chances to go fishing whenever possible so if anyone has a boat....(just kidding). Well with all this racing around GREAT STRIDES is coming up on us again and we are looking forward to this.

GREAT STRIDES is the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation's largest and most successful national fund-raising event. This year, we are walking in the GREAT STRIDES walk at the 2008 Thibodaux - Peltier Park walk on 04/05/2008. Please help us meet our fund-raising goal of $1,000.00 by sponsoring us. Your generous gift will be used efficiently and effectively, as more than $.90 out of every dollar you contribute will be used to fund the vital programs of the CF Foundation. Some of these programs include research in new treatment plans and technologies as well as pharmaceutical research. The gains in drug research over the past 18 months have been remarkable. The coming 18 months are very promising.

Making a donation is easy and secure! Just click the "Click to Donate" button on this page to go to make a donation that will be credited to our team. Any amount you can donate is greatly appreciated!

Parker and I are extremely blessed to have his health be at the level it is currently. The struggles we have had are small compared to others but our success would not be possible without the support of the CF Foundation and their continued research and partnerships with the different CF Clinics. The gains we make now will help current patients and their families as well as lay the groundwork for future treatment options. But, we can't do it without you.

Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those with CF! Thank you for supporting the mission of the CF Foundation and GREAT STRIDES!
