Need your opinion about Pulmozyme. My daughter is 6 years old FEV1 in the the high 90's. Two years ago she tested positive to pseudonomas. Used tobi for almost a year. Pseudonomas seems to be gone now. Doctor wants to be proactive and start her with pulmozyme. She coughs a bit especially at night.

it's a great med, in my opinion. thins mucus which helps CFers cough it up easier. this keeps things moving and prevents infection.

I've been on it for well over 11 years and it's been fantastic.

I take it 2 times a day, as studies show that patients with an FEV > 75% benefit from twice a day therapy as opposed to once a day.

Emily's been on it for about a year and a half. She's 2 and a few months old. Her chest x-ray's have looked more clear since starting on it, and her general health is b etter, too. There are, of course, other factors that play into that, but I have found no reason to not like Pulmozyme.

Could you post the study citation (and the abstract if you have it) about what pulmozyme use is best at different fev levels?
