I boil water, cool it down, then put it in the bottle with a packet of the saline mix - twice for 16 ounces of rinse. When finished I put alcohol in the bottle, swish it around and squirt it out the top. Tara, I heard (on this forum)that distilled water can have PA in it.

Yeah, I heard distilled water might have PA in it. I'm just not paranoid enough to care to boil it. LOL Sometimes I just have to draw a line, and boiling my distilled water is one of them. I did ask my doctor about it and she said distilled water straight out of the bottle is fine. So I'm not sure if I'm getting extra PA with my rinses or not.

Yea I always used tap water before, but I am trying to change things. I have been much more diligent in the last few years and now that I am getting older it might be a wise decision to change the way I clean things...especially with the tap water in my town (its gross, and even washing my hands, it smells like an indoor pool, soooooo chlorinated). Isnt distilled water already boiled? And if you are washing it with alcohol doesnt that kill everything anyway (i.e. wouldnt you be able to use tap water and then alcohol and not worry about contamination)?

And I hate how it takes soooo long to dry! I woke up this morning (after using the rinse at 10 last night) and it was still wet.

<div class="FTQUOTE"><begin quote>p.s. this is my favorite treatment </end quote></div>

Its THE coolest trick in the book!! Hahaha...I have used it three times since I bought the kit and so far am loving it. I feel soooo clear in my sinuses and just can breathe a lot better through the nose.
