So, the sweat test came back negative. The number was 10 so it is very low. I guess we move on to find other reasons for her symptoms. I am truly thankful that it is not CF but it still leaves unanswered questions. This diagnosis seemed to fit. I know I can still pursue genetic testing but with such a low number it doesn't seem likely. Thanks for all the support while we waited to have the test done.

Your daughter sounds like my son, except he had lung problems from about 6-7 months old. He is 9 now, and we only began the dx process about year and a half ago and he is still not concretely dx.The sweat test is a good indicator so I would push for it, but it is by no means the final answer. my son has a ST # 43, which is "borderline," not really a big help in dxing. We're still looking for a difinitive answer. But the ST is the best starting point. Keep pushing and I hope that this is not it, but if your baby girl does have CF this is the best place to be. Good Luck!

So my daughter has now been having a light orange color to her stools. Its about 50/50 green and orange. Every other poop will be a different color. Its been like this for about a week. What does the orange color mean? She is still having 4-6 diarrhea poops a day. I don't know what I should do. The Dr. doesn't want to see her til the end of November for a weight check. She has been at 20.4 lbs on my scale for a month now. Any suggestions on what else this could be since it seems to not be CF? Thanks.
