So we have a sweat test scheduled for this Thursday. They said I won't get the results right away. Can they tell me the number? I am nervous and glad to get this out of the way. Please wish me luck. Thanks

When my daughter had her sweat test she had it in the morning at an accredited center and our pediatrician which is at another facility an hour from where the test was done called us that same afternoon with results. I see no reason you shouldn't know the results that same day, unless your appt is sched for late afternoon. Hope this helps and best of luck!

Thanks for that information. Her appointment is at 8:30 in the morning. Will they tell me the number at all or all that has to come from my dr. ? I have butterflies in my stomach with it only being a little over a day away. But I will feel better with some results. My daughter doesn't taste salty. Could it still come back positive?

I would reccomend calling the ordering doctor once you get home to let them know you had the test done and ask them to check on the result before they leave for the day.
