New Drugs and insulin use

Hi all. I read the thread about decrease in need for enzymes since starting the new drugs but I was wondering about insulin. Has anyone with diabetes seen a reduction in their insulin use/need? Hoping to get in on the phase 3 trial as I am double delta F508.

Hi Kalen, my blood sugar levels have increased since I've been on Kalydeco, and its possible I need to start insulin soon. I've heard from others on Kalydeco and my doctors that its not uncommon for people's blood sugar levels to increase with Kalydeco. This is referring to those not on insulin, I have not heard from anyone who is on Kalydeco and already on insulin. Hope you get on the trial.
