New Enzymes

I thought I was going crazy the last few weeks, and now I know today something has to be wrong. It seems to me everything has changed with my sons BM's. We use to have maybe one or two poopy diapers a day and they were formed like "playdough". Now all hell has broke loose, and I know it has to be something that changed. The only thing I can think is the new enzymes MIGHT be the reason. It seems like they are not doing anything. He is back to runny nasty...SMELLY poopy diapers. Today he had a high calorie carnation instant breakfast drink. Ten minutes later it was a runny poopy diaper...........Anyone else have a change since Creon changed? Or humor me could it be since now we have been using the free Carnation Instant breakfast cans instead of are regular whole milk and store bought Carnation Instant breakfast....Could that be it?

Thanks,

Sarah

I'm usually on Pancrease 20 but for some reason when my pharmacy called for a refill I ended up with Creon. I thought they were 20s like the pancrease and didn't think much of it but I've been cramping and bloated so bad. They're not 20s I guess they're a new formulation or something. But yeah they're messin with me too.

I thought that carnation very high calorie has more calories and fat than store bought, but I may be mistaken. IMO contact your clinic. Sounds like you either need to switch enzymes to one that works or increase the number you give your child.

YES- the Very High Calorie has a LOT more calories than the regular instant breakfast that you can get at the grocery store.

Regular instant breakfast powdered packets have this, according to the back of the package:
Milk Chocolate; I assume other flavors are the same:
Calories: 130 (280 w/ whole milk)
Fat: 1 gram (9 w/ whole milk)
Carbs: 27 grams (40 grams w/ whole milk)
Protein: 5 grams (13 w/ whole milk)

We mix this up with whole milk + a bit of cream to boost fat a bit more.

eta> Emily has been ok with her enzymes since the Creon formulation switched. I hope you can get to the bottom of whatever is going on with your little one.
