Hi, my name is Kevin and I was diagnosed w/ CF when I was 2 months old. I'm 25 years old and I'm studying journalism in college. I have a 22 year old sister and a 28 year old brother, neither of which has CF. My brother has 3 boys: Felix, 4, Simon, 3, and Ben, 4 months-all of them healthy as they can be, and my sister just got married last August. I've only met one other person w/ CF in my entire life, so I think this forum is great, not just for those of us living with CF, but also as a great source of information for those who might want to know more. Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself and say I'm really looking forward to getting to know everyone on here.

Dude, don't you know the rules? Obviously not so let me fill you in. If you EVER meet another CF person, you must immediately go for your sword and try to sever their head and scream "THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE!". If you do that you see way cool electricity fly around and you absorb their powers. I've done it twice. So, never leave home without your sword!

Anyways nice to meet you, just remember my advice.

(see's if anyone gets the reference).

Hi Welcome... I hope that you feel as loved and as supported as I do here.... There are so many loving, caring and great ppl that read and reply here.. Some have CF some are family members of CFers and some just are friends of CFers.

I am Jennifer, one of many many many Jennifers here. I am 33 dx at 29 ...... I have a milder form of the disease but have so many other health complications..that I don't know which end is up.. I am also a college student.. I am graduating with my RN in Nursing in May... I can't wait..... I am not married, don't even have a bf right now, ( don't have the time or energy I guess) I work part time in and emergency room as a tech.... and I am the Class President of My class... and student Rep.....

I don't have to many hobbies out side of school right now... but I love to be with ppl...and shop... I love to have girl nights and watch movies....take baths.... and I love to talk on the phone..... as evidenced by my large phone bill.

Anyway.. I one natural brother.... never been sick a day in his life... one half brother ..never been sick ever.. and a step sister..who has hyperchondria..but she is the sweetest girl ever.........I have one neice who is 22 two nephews18 and 17........

I am actually the only one in my family who has ever been sick, except for one dads sister who died of an unknown pulmonary disease at 2 years old... we assume now it was CF but it has not been confirmed as it was 6o something years ago...

Anything else, just ask.. welcome stay long chat often...

Jennifer

Thanks for all the quick responses, I wish I would have found a place like this a few years ago...it's gonna be nice to interact w/ people who have any idea what we have to deal with. I've been really lucky though, compared to most I think-I've only been in the hospital once, for 4 days, and as long as I stay on my meds I really don't have too much trouble. A little bit more about me: I like to snowboard, I love to bowl, but my favorite thing to do in the world is ride my motorcycle.

btw, seandavis, that highlander thing is genius!

Welcome to the site, Kevin! Motorcycle, 'eh? What do you have, if you don't mind me asking? My dad and sis both have Harleys. Dad's is an '05 Fat Boy, and my sis owns an '05 Sportster. She's just learning how to ride, though, so I usually tag along with Pop *lol* We're pretty much a biker family ^_^

Hi, I stumbled across this site a few weeks ago, and it's so great. There's some funny folks and really good information, plus I know why we can't hang out and all, but it's crazy that when you know the numbers on how many people have this disease you can still end up feeling like you're the only one, it's nice to shout out into the internet space and get a voice back <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0">

Highlander was a movie? I just thought it was a tv show at 2am? Hmmmm...see I learn something new everytime I visit the site!

And you also ride motorcycles!! That's great! I have been riding since I was 4...not street bikes though, just off-road stuff (sport called Trials).

I didn't start riding until about 4 years ago, but all my experience is street riding. I'd love to have a dirtbike, but alas; I'm a poor, poor college student. But when I do eventually get a dirtbike, I don't think I'm going to get all crazy like that guy...
