That's too bad you didn't get any support. Just curious, who do you see? We often get reactions like that too. Like if you have an opinion it will just get in the way of what they already decided for you. Not cool.

Are you home or in? Feeling any better?

We love Dr. Uluer too! He's not our regular Dr, but we've had him when the boys were in. It was funny because he was paired up w/ Doctor Wohl. Now THAT'S a team! OMG, it was like beauty and the beast. She scared us.

OMG I love Dr. Uler. He is the nicest man ever. He's cute too! And Jane I got my IV pulled at my docs appt, she felt I was doing better and thankfully my muscle pain is getting better. I see Dr. Donovan. She is alright but I would love to see either Dr. Uler or Dr. Martin. And I am home. I started the cleanout in the hospital stayed for a week and then did a home cleanout which I always do. My mom is a nurse and she does the meds for me. She's my rock! So now I have the IV out and I can take a regular shower and no more meds!!

I'm so glad you got your line pulled! A regular shower- waaaaah hoooooo!
Tomorrow we go up to see if my son can be done w/ his IVs too (3 weeks). That was such a nice thing you said about your mom! Someday I hope my kids say that about me. Right now they think I'm a big nag. LOL

Don't worry Jane your boys will appreciate all you do for them when they're older and on their own, my Mom had three CF kids and I didn't really appreciate her until I was on my own and waking up in the middle of the night to do my own IV meds. Moms are awesome, I hope to be one someday.

Hi Jane, ya I am feeling better muscle wise but now I am told my hermatocrit is down (sp). So I'm really tired but other than that I'm doing well. How is your son doing? Did the IV get pulled? I hope they both are doing well. And ya my mom is the best I couldn't do it without her. And I know for a fact your boys will feel the same about you!

The most common adverse drug reactions with "Synercid" in comparative trials were inflammation at the infusion site (42.0%) and pain at the infusion site (40.0%). In three noncomparative trials, the most common adverse drug reactions were arthralgia (7.8%, 5.2%, and 4.3%), myalgia (5.1%, 0.95%, and 3.1%), both arthralgia and myalgia (7.4%, 3.3%, and 6.8%), and nausea (3.8%, 2.8%, and 4.9%).

your muscle pains apparantly are one of the most common side effects...bummer
"arthralgia" and "myalgia" are "joint pain" and "muscle pain"...sorry
