You will always be able to feel the tube, but you are sore from the incision.. It will get better in about a week, you won't notice it anymore..

Not to worry, give yourself some time with it..

Mine is in the same place as yours but goes under my collarbone. However, I can still trace where they "tunneled through" from the port until about my collar bone. Now I can still feel it if I look for it, but it doesn't hurt anymore. As well as the incision pain, I had a lot of muscular pain in the first week or so because they had trouble making a pocket for mine and apparently moved things around quite a bit in the process. After it heals it doesn't hurt anymore--it's just noticeable if you bump into it.

I do think you'll like it much better once you're used to having it.

That is odd, I actually had to feel my son to check <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

Turns out his does go over his collarbone, and he is pretty skinny. But over time it has been covered in skin/tissue and is not noticeable enough that I didn't remember if it went over/under.

Hopefully once you heal, it won't be an issue.

My port is placed right about where you say yours is. The catheter does come up over my collarbone, at first it was weird. But I don't even notice it now. I do make my friends feel it occasionally to freak them out a bit!
