He actually has an acaplla that attaches to his neb. He used the acapella while he does his am and pm treatments. B/C he doesn't have a difinitive dx MCD won't cover a vest for him unless we go through a progression first. Manual CPT, Acapella, then vest. The 1st 2 have to have minimal impact for him to receive the vest. The acapella is working great, so that's fine by me. Unfortunately, I have bronchitis REALLY BAD right now and I'm afraid he's cought it! NOOOOOOOOO!!!!

I raelized I didn't really answer your question, though. He will try to dodge it if he's feeling fine. He tries to skip the Advair and veramyst(sp) if he's feeling good. But when he starts to get "the cough" he's all about the nebs and everything. He's been doing them the last few days even when I'm ,like, ok you're done! He's allabout getting the nebs in. Its also the only way he can play his DS before school, so that rule has helped get the daily nebs done.

Jacob is 9 as well and we do the same with him. My husband packs a weekly pill box for him. We keep out on the cabinet with his enzymes. he knows when to take what. We monitor as well knowing he is only 9 but we agree that the sooner you teach them they will comply later on. He is a good kid. He has never complained once about his meds or treatments. He watches tv or plays games when he does his vest. We tell him how important it is to keep on top. So we just pray that he will continue with it especially when he is out of the house. It is a big responsibility. We actually go around with grandparents because they think we need to baby him on this and that he isnt old enough. But he is very responsible. We have taken so much from him already and dont want to take what independence he has. He likes it! He feels grown up.

Thanks for the support. I have not been on here since I posted my first post. I have been so busy. I am new to the whole forum stuff so just wanted to know if there is a way to have my replies sent by email. I get them through my phone so I could stay up to date.

As for our air system it is central. However we are replacing it because it is under the floor and has collapsed. So we will get a whole new system and we are putting in a hepa filter. So we hope this helps too.

I try my best to keep everything clean and use green products. Even then I try to do all my cleaning while he is at school. I know I cant keep him in a bubble but its sure tempting at times!! (0:
