New to pancreatic enzymes

My 2 yr old son started pancreatic enzymes about a week and a half ago and not much difference yet. His stools arent every day now but when he does go, it is a huge amount and fills his pull up. They aren't as foul as before, but still pretty stinky. He takes them 4 times a day. Do they take a while to adjust to his digestive system?

If the dose is correct (and he needs them) then yes you should be seeing a change. I'd give a call to the CF center where you are being seen and ask for advice. If you are not being seen at an accredited CF center, that needs to be your first step...then address the enzymes.

I notice you mention taking "4 times a day", enzymes are normally prescribed to be taken when you eat as they need to be in the intestines with the food in order to work. Not sure how 4x/day matches to eating since you didn't give more detail. In a nutshell it sounds like you may need the enzymes adjusted but that will take his CF doctor or a nutritionist familiar with CF.

"Stinky" can be a function of bacterial overgrowth. Again, this should be discussed with the CF Specialist at an approved CF Center.
