Well, I could post my own introduction, but I'll go the easy route here.

I'm Jo, wife to Tom. I registered here months and months ago. But, with the uncertainty of the process and the reality that M wasn't home yet, I never had the courage to post. Nice to see Dh has beat me to it, lol.

Only thing I will add is that M has had 3 bowel obstructions which started with a Meconium illeus. This last one, which nearly cost him his life and took a full year before the surgeons did anything, was actually caused by adhesions from the 2 previous surgeries. Oh, one more thing I'll add. While they keep saying his lungs are good, M was colonized with psuedamonas at least a year ago (still waiting on that darn medical record to get a full picture). AND, he's not getting a vest or CPTs at all right now. Fostermom doesn't do them, because she thinks they don't help. She also thinks his enzymes cause his diarrhea and so doesn't give them properly though she tells the doctors she does. First change his new CF clinic is making is getting a vest.

Anyway, next week Tom and I will be in the thick of this, hitting the ground running. M had his last appointment at his old CF clinic yesterday and has his first MD appointment here next Wednesday.

Poor little guy! No wonder he's getting bowel obstructions! Imagine he'll be a much happier, healthier child once he's out of the situation. Sounds like you're on the right track! How exciting!
