<br>Hi I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Josh, I have CF 508. I am new to the forums here. For the most part I have kept to myself and didnt know to many people with CF and never really reached out to find any either. I started coming across ppl that had CF on Facebook and as my disease progresses and I'm getting older I've decided to reach out and get to know other CF patients and see for myself just how we are all doing as a :whole" and how i compare in terms of MY health. from the sounds of it i am kinda in the middle to most people here. I'llbe21 come April, Just moved to the adult clinic here in st.louis and my fev1 is GENERALLY low 60's when im feeling at my best. right now though i am not feeling the best and i havent blown recently but if i did today i would say im probably mid to high 40's which is where i normally am when im sick. So from reading alot of the posts here id say im about middle of the road. however the interesting fact is that PRIOR to this past julyI had not beenhospitalized since 5th grade over 10 years ago. july was my first time being admitted since the start of 5th gradei am very thankful for that. Lately tho ive been getting sick more frequently :/ I have chosen an odd career field as a person with CF and in the end im sure it will effect me greatly, however i Love doing it. I am a paramedic. I know it puts me at risk especially having CF and ill probably not be able to make a FULL career out of it, but as of right now i love doing what i do and i want to make a difference in someone elses life in the inheritantly shortened life thatim sure CF will give me. that is about it about me really, i am looking forward to getting to know many of you and look forward to talking with many of you on these forums. If anyone wants to know anymore about me just ask, feel free to also post about yourselfs after me to help people including me to get to know each other. P.s. yes i know there is a thread above me about getting to know each other, I just wanted to introduce myself alittle more personally

Hi Josh!

I just wanted to say hello and thank you for introducing yourself! You will find we have a few others here in the medical field..a paramedic, a nurse,,, perhaps in time you will meet up with these individuals to talk about your careers. Good for you for finishing school and following your passion. It's great to LOVE what you do!

I have a son with CF, so I hang out more in the family section...Just wanted to say "hi"!
