New triplet pictures

I posted pictures but no update, sorry!

all the babies are off O2 and have been now for 4 days. Ryland was on caffine for his bradycardia and apnea episodes but was taken off it today. We'll know in a few days if he's off it for good as it will take a bit to wear out of his system.

Tristan is on 4-5 oral feeds a day (max is 8 oral feeds before they can come home), Cassie is being a slug and just made it up to 2-3 today (she's very picky, gassy and likes to fall asleep when feeding, LOL) and Ryland is on 4 oral feeds. Usually 4-5 feeds are the stumbling block for most babies and Tristan spent 3 days on 4 oral feeds. He finally moved on today. These feeds are their last steps before coming home (aside from some shots and such but that can be done in one day)

They all passed their hearing tests in both ears, which I guess is a big deal for preemies so that is great news for us. Cassie and Tristan are both back up to 4lbs (they always loose after birth, preemies especially and all the babies were down to 3lbs 11oz shortly after birth). Ryland is at 3lbs 15 oz so he's close behind.

They are all in an open crib together and seem to enjoy being next to eachother. The boys are VERY mellow and cassie is a bit of a drama queen/knows she's daddy's little princess. Mark can mellow that girl in a minute, but it's a stab in the dark with me or grandma.... LOL. She's got him wrapped around her finger!

Thanks to everyone for the support through all of this for Mark and I. So many of you were there in the planning stages of this, supporting and encouraging us and have been with us through the procedures, pregnancy test, ultrasounds, news of twins, news of triplets, dr's appointments, ultrasounds and the delivery. We are so thankful for the friendships and support on this website!!!

Thanks Terri, I got your PM on here last night. Was hoping to chat for a bit but I guess I missed you. I hope all is well!!!!!

Danyell, Tristan was suppose to be Tigger, we called him that in my stomach (and Cassie piglet because she was the biggest and Eeyore was Ryland because he was ALWAYS having "issues"-so it seemed) but my mom couldn't find a preemie size tigger outfit at walmart so she bought a pooh instead. Oh well <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

Thanks Janet! My mom said the same thing, LOL. She's a handful though. THe boys are SOOO mellow and she is futzy about EVERYTHING!!!!!!!! Gotta love her though, she is JUST LIKE ME!!!

Thanks Kandi, you are so kind.

Craig, I always preface (or at least try to) my posts related to the babies with something like that. I know we all experience negativity in our posts, but I HATE to see it in the posts about the babies. In other topics I post, I don't mind but these babies are so sacred to me. Hope that makes sense..... Thanks for the compliment!!

Thanks Liz!!! How is everything going with you?

Thanks Amy and goingup!!!

You are right Sherri, they are so easy to love. They are all so cuddly and sweet, and a bit demanding and picky, but still, LOVE them so much!

Thanks Debra, the outfits were just perfect. My mom stumbled upon them and couldn't resist.

Amber, I think he is waving in that picture. I caught it at just the right time, LOL. He is such a silly guy. It's so interesting to see their personalities a bit already, and they are just newborns.

Thanks Jennifer and Laura!!

Seana, Mark and I are doing good. He's really tired, driving back and fourth 1 hour each day to care for our dogs at home, and struggling to fit in all of his chest PT and medications and such. I don't blame him, he pretty much goes home to eat, sleep and walk/feed the dogs and cats, then comes back here to see the babies everyday. But he is the MOST AMAZING dad. I knew he would be a good dad, but he is just amazing. He jumps up to change them, feed them, change clothes if they are dirty, hold someone who is crying... he just dotes over them so much. It is so fulfilling to watch him with the babies. This is definately hard on a close relationship though. Not in a bad way, but it's not what we are use to. We've spent a lot of time together always, kind of joined at the hip and now that we don't see eachother for a lot of time, and that our roles are now spouse and parent as opposed to just spouse, it's difficult. I've had some tears when he goes home some days because I just miss him so much and I miss the babies and hate leaving them at the hospital. But it will be so worth it when we are all under one roof again.

Thanks Naomi. All they have now is the NG tube. As soon as they are taking 8 feedings orally they get it taken out and 24-48 hours later they get to come home for good.

Thanks Risa and Froggy!!!

Hurray for the continuing good news! We sure needed this happiness here! Nothing like a baby to make us all feel better--and you've given it to us X3!!! Let Mark know we're all proud of him for being such a good dad and for giving support to you also. You are just learning about the backside of parenthood--no more cuddling early in the morning! I hope you two will be able to get out alone once in a while when the babies are older. Get your rest now...

Julie and Mark, your babies are adorable...like you needed me to tell you that! Thank you so much for sharing them with us.

Julie, get your rest now. I couldn't wait to get home after having each one of my girls (and I only had one!) but once you're home the responsibility for these little ones can get a little much. I know you and Mark will do just great but enjoy this time where there are others to help you.

Remember, I love kids and am always open to babysitting...ND isn't that far away!
