Tell her you want to request the extended genetic panel through quest diagnostics or ambry and why. She'll discuss it with the drs and if they agree it's warranted, they'll have the nurse order it over the phone. Depending on when your appt is, you may even have the results in by then. It will also help if you contact your health insurance carrier first to determine what process is needed to order the extended genetic panel. Good luck!

Thank you!!! I didn't know that, and I was getting so frustrated. Our ped. won't order the extended test. I need to find a new ped. but I have alot on my plate right now and didn't want to have to do that today! I plan to find a new ped. next week. But in the meantime I need more help with Toby.

I will call the nurse at Riley today.

We are getting ready to do a sweat test on ashton even though he was diagnosed in utero due to the cf center wanting a sweat test on record. We see dr montgomery (pulmonary) and dr Mollosten (gastro) they are great.. good luck and let me know if i can be any help

DS had a sweat test done at a children's hospital that has a CF floor; however, he was on the NICU floor and someone else did the test. His score was 30 = normal. Luckily another doctor ordered genetic blood tests. He showed double delta f508, too. When DS gets excited or upset he starts to cough. His doctor called it CF bronchitis -- when kids get excited and laugh or cry their bronchi constrict and they end up coughing.

Anonymous at 6:36 am. I see that she logged in after her initial post. We've all posted anonymously but it appears that a little below that she might have posted again but it was anonymously. It just gets a bit confusing when people post anon. and don't leave a name at the bottom. It's just hard to keep track of who is doing the posting-that's all. It is clear to me that she has a log in. I just think it might be easier to answer her questions if she were to put her name if she forgets to log in or make a second post saying "that was me". We've all made that mistake, just trying to make eeryone aware of it.
