No A.C. at work!

Hey everyone,

So the agency I work for has moved into a different location and to everyone's dismay, it has NO a/c. We all have to work in fans but the air is so humid and it feels like it's so dusty. I've been coughing like crazy and today while I was driving to work I think I tore something in my chest. I got a doctor's note from my CF center explaining that I can't work like this, but I'm stuck b/c if I'm not at work, I get docked. I'm pretty new so I'm scared to ask for any accomodations like trying to work from home, etc.

ANY advice is so appreciated! I'm in New York and this week is supposed to be in the upper 90's to 100's!

You have to make your own decision. I worked in an indoor/outdoor dirt lab (literally) for 3 years. I back and forth between the best health in my life because of the physical work to having issues with the dust. Maybe some regular sinus appointments will aleve you of your issues, maybe not.

Having a fan right in front of your face should help, though, depending on the working conditions of the dust or mold that may be there.
