No one really likes to answer questions posted do they, you see where 100 people may have viewed but maybe 4 or 5 people respond. Is there a reason for this? I'm new here and was really needing some info on my previous question about how to read my PFT. I guess I'll just look on the internet again. Thanks

alot of people may read them but not know what to tell you, or feel that what was said was adequate. I for one thought that with your PFT post that it was answered and I couldn't offer anymore help than what was there.

This is just how the forums work. Not every person that views your posts is going to have an answer. I answer what I feel confortable answering. What I don't, I leave for people with more experience. but just because I can't answer it doesn't mean I am not going to read the question or keep checking back to see the answers.

Hope that helped and welcome to the site!!

Same here. If i have no experience to speak of for that particular thread, i may read it, but not respond since i dont know what to say. If i have something helpful to say i usually always do add in my 2 cents.
Welcome to the site and stay a while, you will see we are a helpful bunch <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">

Hello: I am new to the site myself. I check every day sometimes all day long and I for one read your post but I hat to say this but I don't read my PFT's. I find them to be a good guideline for the doctors and not necessarly for myself. I have seen to many of my friends get so caught up in their numbers that thier health declined quicker due to depression.

I swore numbers from pfts off a long time ago. My younger sister (deceased now) with CF always knew her numbers cause the doctors told them to her and she grew to understand thier meaning , but they never did her much good otherwise. I find them to be a fair indicator of how we are doing but not a definer of how we are actually doing. I leave the numbers to the doctors. If Im not doing well number wise I would like the doctors to be up front with me and tell simply that my numbers are declining and have a plan. Other than that, I am 48 and still don't know how to read those PFT.s .

My best advice to you is to ask your clinic doctor what they mean. Or see what others have to say.

Thanks for being honest and putting everything your feeling out there on the table so that we can resond.

Caringly,

To tell you the truth I don't even know how to post a question on this website yet. hee hee. I'll figure it out.
