Hello everyone! We are still trying its been 1 1/2 years w/o bc but really trying for the last 5 months. Well now this month is my 2nd month taking BBT and my temps are really low (96 is my average) and I'm concerned that is why we've had trouble. I'm new to tracking o and cycle is about 32 days and I've noticed that I don't o until late day 21 and this month I'm on day 27 still nothing so I'm just getting worried that we can't. I was sick for a few days early this cycle (about cd 6-9) maybe thats why its late. any advice would be nice
Thanks Teri

Hey Teri,
It would make sense that you ovulation would be late this cycle if you were sick earlier in the cycle. One thing that I did and made me feel a lot more certain about when I was ovulating was using the ovulation kits. They are expensive, but for me it was worth it.
Also, if you haven't seen a physician about the trouble getting pregnant, that would be my advice. They can do some blood tests to make sure you are ovulating, and maybe give you more options and advice. Good luck!

I have been looking into getting the ovulation predictor kits, and on amazon you can get 50 for about $10. So if you do it that way it's not TOO expensive!

Hi. Like Cindy said, get some O kits online, even ebay, for really cheap and you are set. Also, my temps are really low too so you are not alone. Just keep tracking and see what you find out. I have written several posts on here about Vitex - look it up and see what you think. I ALWAYS ovulated around day 22 or so and while taking Vitex I ovulated around day 14/15. I have NEVER ovulated that early in my cycle ever. Being sick can delay ovulation (lots of things can) but the luteal phase will always be the same.

Have you read "Taking Charge of your Fertility" yet? Good luck

Yes, I forgot about the Vitex. I had long cycles, usually around 38-39 days, and I started taking the Vitex, and my next cycle was only 35 days, and then I found out that I had gotten pregnant on that cycle. Whether it was actually the Vitex that did it, or it was just a coincidence, who knows! It was definitely worth trying for me though.
I also should have mentioned that the expensive OPK's that I used were the digital ones. As the other gals said, I am sure you can find a lot cheaper ones.

ok thanks ladies! I have been using FF.com for a couple months and it said that I should have o on day 26 (my temp came up to 96.8 and stayed there for the last few days (w/ewcm) so that seems right. Also last month my lp was only a week! I started taking the vitex last month it did'nt seem to help, but I don't know if the cipro I was on could affect it? Well hopfully my cycle will improve and become more regular in the coming months. Thanks for all the info. I will def get some opk for next month.
