One thing to remember is that both mucoid and non-mucoid pseudomonas can grow resistant to abx. Your doctor will be able to run the tests to determine what your specific strain is sensitive to and will use that info to decide what abx will be used to treat it.

Also, it is possible to grow different strains at one time.
