I know this might seem like a strange question to ask, but how many of you do/do not have cavities in your teeth?

I have theory that due to all the "extra stuff" we produce that makes us cough that we end up with additional saliva which results in fewer cavities. I have none at 35. My sister has none at 31. Our non-CF sister has 5. Just wondering...

Well, before last year, the last time I went to the dentist was probably 3rd or 4th grade, then last year I went and had I think it was 10 cavaties, 5 on each side, well I got one side done and still need to get the other side, but here soon will be getting that done, not in any hurry cause they dont bother me, but last year when they worked on that one side, my teeth that they fixed are sensitive now, go figure, so you can see why Im not in any hurry to get the other side done, not unless the side that got fixed stopped being sensitive.

Thorry anon!
My daughter does not have a problem with cavities. But, do other CFer's get A LOT of buildup on your teeth? Sarah can brush her teeth well, and within a few hours it seems she has gunk all along her gum line (not from food)?

Kaits teeth seem to have a yellowish tint to them... I have wondered if it is from her meds???? advair or pulmozyme??? she does seem to have a problem with her teeth being sensitive and cavaties.

Oh man. My teeth are yellow, and I've had at least 15 cavities. Maybe I'm a bad example, but I've never had luck with my teeth.

I've had a ton of cavities, two root canals, and have had all my wisdom teeth pulled, as well as 2 crowns and a few chiped teeth. My doc says my teeth are very weak and chalky because of all the meds I take.

I'm 24 and I've lost count of how many I've had. In most of my teeth I've had multiple fillings (like the front and back of my front teeth or the inside and outside and center of my molars). At last count I was up to 42 fillings and that was about 7 years ago. I've had a lot more work done since then. My teeth break and chip like nothing AI've ever seen. My CF doc says he's never heard of teeth as bad as mine at my age. I'm going to look into getting them all removed and getting implants when Brian has recovered from his surgery.
