Nose bleed in infant. Related to Tobi? Pulmozyme? Sinus/congestion?

Last night, after Izzy's Tobi treatment, she had a slight nose bleed. Not a lot of blood, just coating the inside of one nostril. Today is the last day of her first Tobi cycle. She is 7 months old so can't tell us what she is feeling from these meds. She is also on Pulmozyme first thing in the morning.

She has been having more 'snot activity' since she cultured pseudomonas and started Tobi

I spoke to the respiratory therapist at our CF center this morning about it and she doesn't think it's related to the meds and wants us to finish her cycle (today is the last day). My husband is resistant. He's several degrees more paranoid than I am. (It works out to be a good balance for us <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

Anyone else have nosebleed problems related to Tobi or Pulmozyme?

DS has always gotten more congested with Tobi. Now that he's older we have him do sinus rinses, prior to that, I'd use simply saline and the dreaded booger sucker to take care of the congestion and increased booger production.

Since he's always had sinus/stuffy nose type issues since he was a baby, we have also noticed that once in awhile there's a little blood. Mainly it's due to the sensitive nasal membranes inside the nose, sometimes it's due to dryness.

I've been on Tobi and Pulmozyme for a long time now and have never had a problem with nose bleeds. I do however notice in general that when my nose/sinuses are really congested and I'm constantly blowing my nose I do get an occasional nose bleed or a little bit of blood on the tissue when I blow my nose.

Jordin had some nose bleeding...not alot like you say. Not sure what caused it though. You can use nasal saline to moisten the nostrils. It helped Jordin <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-blush.gif" border="0">)
