Not feeling much better after 3 weeks of home IV's

Well I've been on home IV's for 3 wks. and I'm still not feeling great. My cough is less often and less junky. I'm not as good as I want to be, where I THINK I should be.

I'm on Merrem (every 8 hrs) and Tobra. Well my Tobra level was too high so rather than 're-do' it they just stretched it out from 24 hrs to 36 hrs.

Has anyone had this schedule of 36 hrs, I'm not sure if that's why I'm not feeling better. Like I need Tobra in my system more often?!

I'm at a loss, and I've even been on Prednisone this last week and it's not helping much. I'm frustrated!!!!

Sometimes it just takes longer to feel better than others. I have been on iv's and gotten well within days, and others it has taken weeks. AS long as the iv antibiotics are the correct ones for your bugs and sensitivities, then it just may be going slower this time. I hope you feel better soon <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">
