Hey all. just thought i would post a message because im not feeling to well at the moment (one of those days!!) stuck on my oxygen at the moment, because im a little breathless. Just wondered if anyone had any advice on how to stay upbeat when your feeling so so ill. My mood changes when im not well, find it difficult to be "nice" sometimes, ha!
Does any one see a drastic change with there chest if they just miss one neb? i went out at the week end and could not get home in time to do it, so the next day i saw a huge change in my chest. its unreal how by just missing one, can make such a difference. Years ago , i could get away with it, but not anymore!

I see drastic changes in my lung health if I miss one neb. My FEV1's are around 95% but despite such good health, I notice a huge change in my health if I miss my nebs.

you are certainly not alone. hang in there

Yes, I do feel a difference if I miss a neb or vest treatment. My chest feels tighter, and "pluggy", I can feel the mucous there. I try to be religious about my nebs, but sometimes I miss a dose or two because I am out, but I do pay for it later. I sure hope you feel better soon...I too am more cranky when ill, mostly because I know that when I do start to feel sick, IV's are coming soon which means admission. It can be disheartening. I too try to remain positive even when I am physically down. I often think I could be so much worse off, I know it is a ommon thing to say, but I do and it works to a point. I also do things that make me feel good, like reading or writing a letter to a friend that I haven't talked to in awhile. My thoughts and prayers are with you, hugs Jenn

i have to go for a little while without nebs to feel the effects.. and usually a puff of albuterol makes me feel all better then.

nicola, treat yourself! have a friend rent your favorite movies, take hot baths to relax, wear comfy sweats.. i like doing little artsy stuff, like making scrapbooks or sketching.. focus on getting better, but just do enjoyable, relaxing things like that.. you deserve it, you have to put up with cf all the time! :)
