Not-so-great CF appt...

Ellie's weight gain has improved...however, her recent xray showed "changes". She's only 15 months old. Her doctor said that the stage of thickening that is present is reversible, but we need to start her on Pulmozyme ASAP. As posted earlier, our insurance is awful and won't cover the medication. We're still fighting them. Her doctor said that most CF children her age should have "normal" radiographs...

My question, have any of your little ones experienced "changes" in their xrays that have resolved upon altering treatment? Have you noticed these improvements with Pulmozyme, specifically?

Thanks...

call Genentech. There are several foundations who can help with coverage of medications (aka cover the entire cash price if needed).

this is NO TIME for delay. call Genentech right away so you can get the pulmozyme for Ellie.

Take care
