I know that there is a nutrition section, and I plan to write this there as well, so if you want to comment there, that would be great! I just know how much traffic "families" gets.

Parker is now 11 mos. old and obviously starting to try many foods. Last time DH and I went shopping we made sure to find as many fatty things as we could find. I was just wondering, for those who have gone through this stage, what are the fatty foods that your little one seemed to like?

For the most part, he eats:

Yo Baby with fruit and cereal
Whole milk cottage cheese
Hot dogs (peeled)
French fries
Pudding (w/whole milk)
Chicken or anything we have for dinner
The little entrees that you find in the baby isle

Of course, we feed him other things, but he usually has at least one of these per day...
So, looking for more ideas for fatty foods, and as I said before, I will post this in Nutrition as well.
Thanks!

Trying to remember back that far; mac and cheese, buttered noodles, meat, I would mix in some flax seed oil into the Yobaby yogurt for more fat. Just remember when you are adding more fat you might need to up the enzymes. Oatmeal mixed with flax seed oil whole milk or cream and brown sugar. I like foods you can sneak fats into, like yogurt, even whole milk you can add a little cream to it. I remember one time Maggie just ate chunks of butter(she had a bad belly ache fter, I would not let her do that again) Oh, and dipping things, dipping things into cream cheese, veggies in ranch dip. Maggie started peanut butter pretty young, I waited to she was at least a year I think. My sister said peanut butter and nutella are Maggie's best friends.

I posted in the nutrition section, but forgot to add that we would add olive oil to DS's casseroles. He won't touch it today, but when he was younger, he used to open up the fridge, grab a stick of butter, take a bite and go, "mmm, buddah"!

We had a lot of issues when Alyssa was Parker's age -- so much so that we had to see a feeding specialist. The big thing we were able to get her to eat was soup. Any kind. I'd add heavy cream, butter, parmasean cheese, etc. to the soup to bulk it up and she LOVED it. She also still loves Mac and Cheese (I buy the high test frozen kind). Chicken pot pie is another LOVE with her and can be really fatted up (if that is a word, LOL). The problem in our house now is that her food is too appealing to me. The CF diet is killing me and she is gaining very little <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif" border="0">

Keep up what you are doing, the yo baby is great. Those little entrees aren't particularly high in fat, but you can doctor them pretty well.
