My youngest loves chesse slices and milk with cream added to it. Definitely mac and cheese, swiss miss pudding, pierogies with butter and salt on them - and if you have any roots to the south - grits with lots of cheese and butter!

tracey, mom to sydney, 6, and seth, 2 - both w/cf df508

p.s. As of our most recent doctor visit a week ago, my daughter is not supposed to gain any weight, and my two year old is supposed to lose a pound by the next visit!!!!! :)

THank you all. . . keep it coming!

I did notice how much fat the mac and cheese has and did grab that at the store but have not tried it as of yet. (the stuff w/broccoli actually had more than the one with bacon!)
He tries anything right now and absolutely loves his big boy food (we didn't do much with the baby food as he just threw it up).

Liza - I know you had said in the Nutrition forum that you added cream to the formula. . . can you do this with milk?
He's on 24 cal/oz formula right now but will be switching of course at a year old.

does the swiss miss have whole milk? all the pudding that I ever find is "fat free, low fat" so we just get the boxes and make it with whole milk. . . but I know if it was prepackaged that we would feed it to him more

Tracey - what are pirogies?

Flaxseed oil is an awesome idea. . . I'll have to get right on that one!

I still give DS whole milk with cream in it. When he was a little older, I'd mix a packet or two of powdered carnation instant breakfast with 3-4 cups of whole milk and a couple of ounces of cream to make him a high calorie drink.

Cream is VERY high in fat and calories (100 cal per ounce), so you'll probably need to adjust enzymes at some point.

Oh, I just remembered --- Greek Yogurt. Our grocery store just started carrying it -- very very high calorie. Unfortunately, DS doesn't like it -- I LOVE it. Nothing like 250-270 calories per carton of pure bliss
