O2 sats question

Hey, ya'll... Happy Halloween!!!

Does anyone know if allergies can effect O2 sats? I've recently woken up with a stuffy nose (and have it on and off throughout the day) and sneeze a lot, so though I have never had allergies before, I think I'm developing them. And, I notice my O2 sats have been worse than usual right now too.

Just curious. Thanks!

I have been wondering the same thing myself. A lot of times, I'm SOB, but with little congestion (I have a ton of allergies due to our animals that I'm allergic to - that I'm NOT getting rid of).
I think the allergies/histamine cause inflammation, and that inflammation cause low O2. That's my take.
I'm on Singulair and Zyrtec and soon will be starting Xolair.

I would say that allergies would effect O2 Sats. I dont have allergies, when I have stuffy nose or SOB due to weather change, my O2 sats change. I have asked Drs about it and they say a lot of factors effect ur O2, including weather, allergies, environmental changes, foods, etc.

Thanks for your input! I appreciate it.

I hope no one minds the bump... just curious if anyone else notices this?
